He is co-founder of the OMUTF Molecular Microbiology Research Laboratory. He is one of the founders of Yeditepe University Translational Medicine Research and Application Center (YÜTTAM). He worked as a researcher in the Molecular Microbiology laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine at Erasmus University (The Netherlands). He is co-founder of the Study Group on Laboratory Quality of Turkish Microbological Society. He has contributed to development of the National Regulation for Medical Laboratories and national laboratory guidelines/standards. Some of its international certificates are: “Microbial Typing Technologies: Practical Course with Theoretical Support”, “Training Course in Hospital Epidemiology”, “Strategic Hospital Management”, “Complexity Science”, medical laboratory quality accreditation and quality assurance management (multiple certificates).
