Prof. Ahmet Cem Dural

Dr. Ahmet Cem Dural was born in 1978. He completed his primary school at Tarabya Dost Private School, secondary and high school at Galatasaray High School. He is graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Medicine in 2003 and completed his surgical residency at Istanbul University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Surgery in 2009. Between 2009 – 2012 he worked as staff surgeon in Igdir State Hospital, Igdir (Compulsory Medical Service). He was appointed as staff surgeon at 2012 in Bakirkoy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training & Research Hospital. He worked as postdoctoral research fellow in Cleveland Clinic, Endocrine Surgery Division in 2014, scholarship granted by Turkish Surgical Association. He worked as clinical fellow in Karolinska University Hospital, Department of Endocrine Surgery and Sarcoma Unit, scholarship granted by European Association for Endoscopic Surgeons. He received European Board of Endocrine Surgery in 2015. In 2016, he worked as clinical/research fellow in University of Ottawa, Faculty of Medicine, Apoptosis Research Centre in field of Translational Medicine. He received Associate Professor degree of Surgery in March 2017. He worked as Consultant Endocrine Surgeon in University of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Bakirkoy Dr. Sadi Konuk Practice & Research Center, Department of Surgery between 2017-2021. He is currently a member of many national and international associations for endocrine surgery and minimally invasive surgery and he is a member of Executive Committee and Secretary of Turkish Association of Endocrine Surgery. He is specifically interested in surgical management of thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal gland diseases and cancers, also minimally invasive and robotic surgical procedures. He has more than 80 articles published in national and international journals.
