Assistant Professor Mehmet Emre Yeğin

He was born on January 7, 1987, in Kırklareli, as son of doctor parents. He decided on his profession while observing the surgical interventions due to his interest he saw from his grandfather who was a General Surgeon Specialist, at his early ages. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education at Antalya College. He graduated from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 2011 and started his specialization in Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery with a degree in TUS, which he entered in the same year. Due to his interest in academic studies during his residency, he attended many national and international meetings and presented papers. In 2017, he received his expertise, and visited Taiwan where he had the opportunity to observe world-renowned Prof. Dr. Hung-Chi Chen's experiences in the field of microsurgery, and work with him for 2 months. He completed his compulsory service at Elazig Fethi Sekin City Hospital. In 2019, he passed the European Board for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) exam in London and received the title of Fellow of EBOPRAS (FEBOPRAS). In 2020, he started to work as a Lecturer at Ege University, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. In this process, he contributed to the vocational training of assistants and undergraduate students, and also held administrative duties such as the wound care commission of the Ege University Medical Faculty Hospital. He is married and has 1 child. He speaks German and English very well.
