In 2011, he completed his PhD at Heidelberg University Biochemistry Institute in Germany with the thesis titled “Role of Glycogen Synthase Kinase (GSK) in temperature compensation of the Neurospora circadian clock” under Prof.Michael Brunner. Dr. Özgür Tataroğlu was a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Neurobiology Department in the United States between 2011-2017, and worked as Scientist I at Google California Life Sciences (Calico) Company in San Francisco, USA between June-October 2017. There he has worked on CRISPR-Cas9, lentiviruses, biological clock, aging, and longevity. He is an expert in molecular biology and genetics, gene design, cloning, DNA sequencing, protein biochemistry, protein analysis, RNA analysis, and bacterial and mammalian cell cultures.
