Prof. Ümit Koç

He was born in 1975 in Augsburg Germany. He completed his primary education in Augsburg and Turkey Mersin Gazipaşa Primary School. After completing his secondary and high school education at Mersin Tevfik Sırrı Gür High School, he completed his medical education at Çukurova Faculty of Medicine between 1993-1999 and became a medical doctor. After completing his compulsory service in Mardin Midyat Health center No.3, he completed his General Surgery Specialization at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital between 2000-2005 and became a General Surgery specialist. After completing his compulsory service and military service, he successfully graduated from Ankara Tükiye Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital Gastroenterology Surgery Clinic between 2008-2010 and received his Gastroenterology Surgery specialist diploma. Later, he started to work as a Gastroenterology Surgery specialist at Antalya Training and Research Hospital. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2016. In 2016, he performed Robotic Tumor Surgery in more than 100 and more bariatric surgery more than 400 in Antalya Training and Research Hospitals, as part of the Da Vinci Robotic Surgery certification program. After performing various tumor surgery and bariatric surgery at Antalya Training and Research Hospital between 2010-2018, he joined the team of İstinye University Bahçeşehir Liv Hospital and he received the title of Professor in 2021. He has been working at İstinye University Faculty of Medicine and Bahçeşehir Liv Hospital.
