Professor Dr. Volkan Tuğcu was born on April 05, 1971 in Pamukova, Sakarya. He studied at Bursa Uludag Faculty of Medicine between 1991-1997. He worked as a urology assistant in the Urology Clinic of Beyoğlu Training and Research Hospital between 1998-1999. He worked as a urology assistant in the Urology Clinic of Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital between 1999-2003. Professor Dr. Volkan Tuğcu was born on April 05, 1971 in Pamukova, Sakarya. He studied at Bursa Uludag Faculty of Medicine between 1991-1997. He worked as a urology assistant in the Urology Clinic of Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital between 1999-2003. Between 2004-2010, he worked as a specialist physician in the Urology Clinic of Bakırköy Dr Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital. Volkan Tuğcu, who received the title of Associate Professor in 2010, held administrative positions as Clinical Administrative Officer in 2013 and as Clinical Education and Administrative Officer in 2014. He received the title of Professor Doctor (Republic of Health Sciences University Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital) in January 2017. Between 2014-2018, he worked as the Education and Administrative Officer of the Health Sciences University Urology Clinic. The Robotic Surgery operation method, which is called "Tugcu Bakırköy Technique" and developed by himself, has entered the World Medical Literature. He trained 90 Turkish and foreign urology specialists on Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery. He has scientific publications published in 97 international journals and 60 in national journals. Receiving his patients in his office in Maçka, Professor Dr. Volkan Tuğcu operates his surgeries at Liv Vadi Hospital. He is married and has two children, a boy and a girl.
