Professor HASİP PEKTAŞ

Hasip Pektas was born in Ermenek in 1953. He graduated from Gazi Teacher Training Institue in 1974. He worked as a Professor at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphic Design in 1987-2007. He became Associate Professor in 1995 and Professor in 2001. He was the founding director of Hacettepe Art Museum between 2005-2007. He is currently a faculty member at the Department of Cartoon and Animation, Faculty of Communication, Üsküdar University. He has also been working hard to make ex-libris well-known in Turkey. He has written one book about "Ex-libris" in 1996. He has organized 4 International Ex-libris Competitions in 2003, 2007, 2010, 2018, International Printmaking Biennial and 33rd FISAE International Ex-libris Congress in Istanbul. He is founder of International Ex-libris Journal EXLIBRIST.NET. He is the President of Istanbul Ex-libris Society.
