Internship programs at İstinye University are designed to enable students to transform the theoretical knowledge they acquire during their university education into practical skills in a real work environment. Internships contribute not only to students' technical competence but also to the development of their professional skills, such as professional attitude, work discipline, communication, and teamwork.
During this process, students aim to:
- Get to know institutions and organizations related to their field,
- Clarify their professional orientation by observing real work environments,
- Gain awareness of corporate structures, management processes, and employee relations.
Through internships at public and private sector organizations, ISU students:
- Reinforce the theoretical knowledge they have learned in class with practical experience,
- Experience tasks and responsibilities in line with industry standards,
- Accelerate their adaptation to the transition to working life,
- Have the opportunity to make informed decisions about their future career orientation.
The internship process is designed not only as an application field but also as an individual development process where students get to know themselves, test their professional competencies, and identify their shortcomings to seize opportunities for growth.
Students at İstinye University who will complete a mandatory internship (including vocational training internships and Psychology department internships) must follow the steps below to ensure they complete their internship process in full:
1. Determining the Internship Location
The student finds the institution or organization where they will complete their internship using their own resources. Once the institution has been determined, the internship application process begins.
2. Application via OİS
Internship applications are made online via the “Internship” tab in the OİS Student Automation system.
Applications must be completed at least 15 days before the start date of the internship.
Internship procedures cannot be initiated and the insurance process cannot be activated without submitting the application.
3. Approval of the Internship Form
A printout of the internship application form filled out via OİS is obtained.
The form is approved by the institution where the internship will take place with a stamp and signature.
The approved form is uploaded back to the OİS system in PDF format.
4. Academic Approval Process
The form uploaded as a PDF is approved online via the system, first by the Department/Program Chair, then by the Faculty Dean or MYO Director.
Once these approvals are obtained, the insurance process is initiated.
5. Insurance Process
Once all approvals are completed, the student's SGK entry report is prepared.
It is very important that the application is made on time for the insurance process to be completed.
