Students of the Logistics Program at Istinye University Vocational School paid a technical visit to Zeyport Port. The field trip aimed to help students integrate their theoretical knowledge with real-world industry practices. During the visit, students were provided with detailed information on port management, cargo handling and storage processes, terminal operations, occupational health and safety practices, and the digitalization of logistics activities. Following the informative presentations delivered by Zeyport Port officials, students had the opportunity to observe logistics processes covered in their courses firsthand through a site tour. Strengthening the practical dimension of their education, the technical visit enabled students to gain a closer understanding of the role of ports in national and international trade and to better comprehend the dynamics of the logistics sector.

We would like to thank Port Manager Mr. Muzaffer Ermiş for hosting us during the port visit, Mr. Beycan for his valuable contributions that allowed us to closely observe the flow of operations during the field tour, and Hulusi Narcıkara, Member of the Logistics Program Advisory Board.
