Dr. Samira Mohagheghi lisans derecesini 2006 yılında Iran’da bulunan Sahand University of Technology’sinden aldı. Lisans derecesini tamamladıktan sonraki dört yılını bir metal ısıl işlem fabrikasında kalite kontrol yöneticisi olarak geçirdi. Master derecesini 2012 yılında Tehran Azad University’sinden aldı ve 1 yılını ziyaretçi araştırmacı olarak Tabriz Universiy’sinde tamamladı. Sonrasında Koç Üniversitesi Malzeme bilimi ve Mühendisliği bölümünden doktora yapmak üzere tam burs kazandı.
