He graduated from the Turkish
Military Academy in 1980 with a degree in Economics, and from the Turkish Army
War College in 1991 as a Staff Officer. He completed the Armed Forces Academy
in 1993. Between 1980 and 2010, he served in various capacities within the
Turkish Armed Forces and retired with the rank of Brigadier General.

Strategy in 2017 and a Professor in the same field in 2023.
Between 2011 and 2017, he served
at Istanbul Altınbaş University in various academic units as a founder,
manager, faculty member, and member of various committees. Currently, he serves
as the Head of the Logistics Management Department, a faculty member in the
Business Administration and Political Science and Public Administration
Departments, and the Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Master's
Program at Istinye University. He is a member of the Senate.

In 2019, he was awarded the TASAM Strategic Visionary Scientist Award.
