Faculty Members from the Department of Economics Visited Students at Their Workplaces During Mandatory Internship Programs

Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Gürsoy, Head of the Department of Economics at Istinye University, and Dr. Lecturer İlayda İsabetli Fidan, visited students completing their mandatory internships at their respective workplaces.

As part of the visits, meetings were held with the supervisors of Zehra Gül Aslan, who is interning at the MLPCARE Headquarters in the Investor Relations and Strategy Department, including Derya Karadeniz, Umut Kater, and Gül İncemızrak; Nisanur Bektaş, who is interning at Bank Pozitif Headquarters, with supervisors Corporate Loans Director İsmihan Ayanoğlu, HR Manager Semra Çakaloğlu, Accounting Manager Hüseyin Armutçu, and Bilal Kara; and Abdullah Burak Şen, who successfully completed his internship at Özak Holding and has since joined the company as a full-time employee, meeting with Procurement Manager Yaşar Kemal Bulutçu.

During the discussions at all three institutions, managers emphasized that the students quickly adapted to their work environments, added value with their competencies, and demonstrated performances that met expectations for economics graduates. Additionally, company representatives expressed their willingness to continue collaborating with Istinye University in future internship and recruitment processes.
