Our Faculty’s Department of Logistics Management Visited UTİKAD!

Faculty members of the Department of Logistics Management at Istinye University’s Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences paid a visit to the International Transporters’ Association (UTİKAD), one of the leading non-governmental organizations in the sector.

Representing our faculty at the visit were Dean Prof. Dr. Figen Yıldırım; Head of the Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Evrim İldem Develi; Dr. İbrahim Elbaşı from the Department of Logistics Management; Dr. Tayfun Utaş from the Department of Management Information Systems; and Research Assistant Mehmed Adar from the Department of Logistics Management. UTİKAD was represented by its Chairman of the Board, Bilgehan Engin, along with members of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.

During the meeting, productive discussions were held on strengthening university–industry collaboration, training qualified human resources for the logistics sector, and developing education-oriented projects, academic support initiatives, and professional training activities. Evaluations were also made regarding the importance of enhancing the education–industry linkage and integrating sectoral needs into educational programs.

Within the scope of the visit, it was aimed to strengthen sustainable communication between our faculty and UTİKAD. In a spirit of mutual goodwill, positive views were shared that this interaction could be transformed into concrete collaboration initiatives in the near future.
