A Seminar on *“Women’s Handicrafts and Our Cultural Heritage”* Was Held in Elazığ with a Presentation by Assoc. Prof. **Çiğdem Gürsoy** from the Department of Economics

Hosted by the Elazığ Municipality and attended by Deputy Mayor Nazif Bilginoğlu and Provincial Director of Culture Mehmet Karaaslan, the seminar featured presentations by Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Gürsoy, Head of the Department of Economics, and Assoc. Prof. Esra Bayhantopçu from Kadir Has University, titled “Women’s Handicrafts and Our Cultural Heritage.”

The seminar, which attracted significant interest from women participants, focused on the role of women’s labor in preserving cultural heritage and explored the potential of local production. Organized within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1001 Project, the event aims to support women producers in the region and contribute to the sustainability of traditional handicrafts.
