Merve Erkısa Genel, a researcher at Istinye University Molecular Cancer Research Center (İSÜMKAM), has been awarded a Scientific Exchange Grant by EMBO (European Molecular Biology Organization), which was formed by leading scientists, including Nobel Prize winners, in the field of Life Sciences. Merve Erkısa Genel is going to carry out the research titled "Targeting the metabolic heterogeneity in prostate cancer and its microenvironment” at the Laboratory of Cellular Metabolism and Metabolic Regulation in VIB-KU Leuven Research Center for Cancer Biology in Belgium.
