Two New Graduates from Our PhD Program in Health Management!

İstinye University’s PhD Program in Health Management continues to contribute to academia and the health sector by educating qualified scholars. As a result of the PhD dissertation defenses held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, Elif Akdemirel and Esma Atalan successfully graduated from our doctoral program.

One of our PhD graduates, Elif Akdemirel, successfully defended her dissertation titled “The Relationship Between Social Determinants of Health and Development in OECD Countries: A Panel Data Analysis.” The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Dr. Hacer Özgen Narcı, and the jury members included Prof. Dr. Bayram Şahin, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Kantaş Yılmaz, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nurettin Öner, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk.

Another graduate of the program, Esma Atalan, successfully completed her dissertation entitled “Analysis of Temporal Trends in Data on the Incidence and Prevalence of Patients Receiving Renal Replacement Therapy.” The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Dr. Hacer Özgen Narcı, and the jury consisted of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pakize Yiğit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Kantaş Yılmaz, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nurettin Öner, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk.
