Çekmeköy Liv College Meets European Students in ERASMUS+ Project

As part of the ERASMUS+ Project led by Çekmeköy Liv College, students from Çekmeköy Liv College participated in an event held at Istinye University with a group of students from Romania, Poland, and Croatia.

The EU-approved project, "Healthy Living in a Healthy Environment," united secondary school students from four countries in exploring and discussing issues related to environmental conservation, preservation and sustainability. The project was first introduced in Poland in 2023 and continued in Türkiye in 2024 in collaboration with the Istinye University Climate and Environment Research Center.

During the program today at Istinye University, Prof. Serkant Ali Çetin and Prof. Sertaç Öztürk delivered a presentation entitled, "Understanding the World of Particles and the Impact of New Technologies on the Environment." Dr. Esra Bayhantopçu spoke about environmental awareness and responsibility, and Melissa Toroğlu, a Faculty of Communication student, presented a project related to environmental awareness.

"Our community contributes to Europe"

At the event, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hatice Gülen spoke of the opportunity to expand the Istinye University community’s contributions to social responsibility to European secondary school students through the Çekmeköy Liv College project. "Within this framework,” she stated, “We will continue to provide benefits with new projects planned for children."
