Remembering the Akbaş Martyrdom, members of Istinye University experienced sorrow and pride and eventually found peace amidst the geenery of Kilye Cove. They followed traces of the past at the Kabatepe Promotion Center, bowed their heads to the Mehmetçik at the Monument of Respect, felt the spirit of the epic struggle at Conk Hill and listened to the historic silence at Suvla Cove.

Drawing inspiration from Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in Kemalyeri, our university members paused where Atatürk's watch was broken. They discovered their roots in Alçıtepe Village and explored the heroic stories of Seddülbahir Fortress and Ertuğrul Battery. They paid their respects at the Çanakkale Martyrs Memorial, contemplated the Seyid Onbaşı Statue and reflected on the 'Dur Yolcu' (‘Stop, Passenger’) message.

Honoring the memory of our ancestors and sharing the joy of the holiday with the young people who light the future, Istinye University on this meaningful day commemorated our martyrs at every step, bearing witness to history.
