'Reproduction Exhibition' by Interior Architecture Students

Istinye University students in the 'Design Studio III-IV' course in the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Design, and Architecture exhibited architectural models at the H campus.

In the model study, the students reinterpreted landmark architectural projects, analyzing and reproducing the structures in miniature. The model study emphasized characteristic features of interior spaces from different parts of the world to develop students' drawing and handbuilding skills and to deepen students' understanding of structure and process.

MINIATURE 'NEST WE GROW' ATTRACTS ATTENTION WITH DETAILS

Through their projects, students expanded their abilities to work in teams and collaborate. Working in groups of three and four, students reproduced existing architectural structures using materials such as foam, wood, and plastic. Elanur Aslan, Alara Haymana, and Ahsen Gümüş worked on a model of the 'Nest We Grow' building in Japan. They completed drawings and measurements, selected materials, and built their model in a week. Emir Tarık Oral, Ahmet Melih Kılıç, and İlker Şener worked on a model of 'The Retreat House,' implementing a laser cutting technique for the first time. They also completed their model in a week.
