Active Ageing Movement is launched

During a visit to the university, volunteers from the social responsibility project “Active Ageing Movement”, which was launched by Ulus Liv Hospital, met with Prof. Dr. İlhan Tomanbay, Head of the Vocational School of Higher Education and Social Services, to discuss future collaborations with Istinye University.
The target group of Active Ageing comprises of individuals living in Istanbul who are aged 65 years and older and who cannot leave their homes for various reasons. The Active Ageing Movement aims to get them out the house, get them active, and develop their perceptions, social networks and social communication. The project has been launched with the support of various non-governmental organizations to reach a large number of people.
