Faculty of Pharmacy Students Conducted a Technical Visit at Polifarma Pharmaceutical Factory

Faculty of Pharmacy students that take pharmaceutical technology classes conducted their annual pharmaceutical factory visit at Polifarma Pharmaceutical Factory on May 26th. A group of 46 students visited the production facility located in Ergene, Tekirdağ.

Upon their arrival, the students were greeted by the Human Resources team and entered the factory premises. The program commenced with a speech by Vildan Kumrulu, the Deputy Chairman of Polifarma, followed by presentations and introductions to the working areas by the Quality Control, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Production Managers. The students had the opportunity to explore the Serum and Ampoule Production areas in groups, guided by the officials, where they acquired insights into sterile production and biotechnological drug manufacturing.

The purpose of the visit was to provide the students with practical exposure to the Pharmaceutical Technology sector, enhance their familiarity with industry practices, and gain real-life experience in a manufacturing environment.

The technical visit was conducted in an informative and enjoyable manner under the leadership of the Head of the Technology Department, Asst. Prof. Levent Alparslan, with the valuable contributions of Asst. Prof. Ece Özcan Bülbül. Following a fulfilling experience, the students bid farewell to the factory upon the conclusion of the visit.
