Vice Rector for Strategic Transformation – Scope of Duties and Activities

The Office of the Vice Rector for Strategic Transformation is a central unit that coordinates the processes of strategic planning, institutional transformation, performance management, and collaboration in line with Istinye University’s vision and strategic objectives. It integrates a data-driven, sustainable, and agile management approach into the University’s governance model. In addition, from the perspective of institutional transformation, the Office coordinates the development of strategic international collaborations and ensures that these partnerships are structured in alignment with the University’s long-term goals.

Main Areas of Activity:

  • Leading the University’s strategic planning processes,
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on strategic action plans,
  • Designing and implementing institutional transformation projects,
  • Developing collaborations and establishing sustainable global partnerships in line with the University’s international strategic goals,
  • Ensuring the monitoring of strategic priorities across the University,
  • Supporting data-driven decision-making processes,
  • Managing coordination and collaboration processes with relevant units,
  • Planning and overseeing projects that create impact at the Rectorate level,
  • Ensuring qualified academic workforce planning and strategic staffing.

Job Description:
The Coordinator provides effective support to the University’s strategic transformation process, ensures the operational and strategic functioning of the Office, and manages internal coordination processes in a holistic manner to align with the University’s institutional goals.

Main Areas of Activity:

  • Monitoring strategic action plans, ensuring coordination with relevant units, and preparing reports,
  • Contributing to the planning, implementation, and monitoring of University-wide projects,
  • Preparing and managing meetings, presentations, and workshops related to the activities within the Vice Rector’s area of responsibility,
  • Effectively organizing institutional communication and collaboration processes,
  • Monitoring and analyzing strategic performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting them to senior management,
  • Developing and supporting the use of project management tools,
  • Developing and implementing recommendations that contribute to the achievement of the University’s strategic objectives,
  • Supporting decision-making processes by maintaining effective communication with senior management and stakeholders.
