The Project Management Office was established as a sub-unit of the Istinye University Technology Transfer Office to develop, fund, and successfully implement research and innovation-focused projects. It serves to contribute to the university's vision of transforming its scientific knowledge into societal benefit.
The office's main areas of work are:
- Access to Funding Sources: Regularly monitors and informs academics about support programs launched by TÜBİTAK, Development Agencies, Ministries, and other organizations. - Project Preparation Support: Provides consultancy in directing project ideas to appropriate funding programs, preparing application files, budget planning, consortium development, and partner finding processes. - Project Execution and Management: Provides guidance in financial, administrative, and technical processes for the effective implementation of funded national and international projects. Supports researchers in the reporting, monitoring, and completion phases of projects. - Training and Capacity Building: Organizes training programs in project writing techniques, funding sources, and project management. This increases the project production capacity of academics, researchers, and students.
The Project Management Office is more than just a structure that supports project applications; it is a center that strengthens the research culture, increases collaboration, and aims to ensure that project outcomes create a societal impact.
