The knowledge I gained at Istinye University guides me in my professional life today.It provided an important foundation especially in developing artificial intelligence-supported business processes and producing solutions that will add value tocompanies. While working on SAP systems, I developed projects that respond to thereal needs of the business world by putting the analytical thinking and problemsolving skills I learned into practice. I am currently working in an SAP consultingcompany, both improving myself and contributing to making business processesmore effective with technology.

Thanks to the multidisciplinary education I received in the Department ofManagement Information Systems, I realized that I could find career opportunities indifferent fields after graduation. Especially the experiences I gained during myinternship periods contributed to my development in the field of data analytics anddata management, which I am interested in. I am currently working at a private bankto improve data governance processes and contribute to the development of data-driven systems. In this journey, the analytical thinking and technology-orientedapproach I acquired at my university played an important role in charting my careerpath.

The education I received at Istinye University Management Information Systemsdepartment provided me with the opportunity to reinforce the theoretical knowledgewith project and application-oriented studies, allowing me to take a solid step into thesector after graduation. Currently, as part of a startup team, I work on productiveartificial intelligence, mobile application development and automation systems; Iprovide productive artificial intelligence-oriented trainings and consultancy services tocompanies and schools. I continue to learn and produce on the journey oftransforming technology into solutions that add value to human life.

Throughout my university life, the academic knowledge I gained was certainly valuable, butthe greatest contribution came from its impact on my personal development andperspective on life. During this time, I learned to be open to different ideas, to viewsituations from multiple angles, and to think critically. The education I received in theEconomics department not only provided professional knowledge but also enhanced myskills in analysis, inquiry, and problem-solving. All these gains have formed a strongfoundation for both my professional career and personal journey.After graduation, I have been working as an Audit Assistant at Grant Thornton Turkey, whichoperates in the independent auditing sector. In this role, I contribute to the audit processesof financial statements of companies from various industries and actively participate inreporting and analysis tasks. This experience has significantly contributed to both myprofessional and personal growth.

By studying Economics in English, I had the opportunity to improve both my academic andlanguage skills. Throughout university, I gained sectoral experience by working, applied mytheoretical knowledge through internships, and took advantage of opportunities like being astudent assistant to get more involved in the academic world. I collaborated directly withfaculty members and took an active role in various academic projects. Furthermore, theuniversity’s strong networking resources enabled me to establish early connections with thebusiness world and supported my personal and professional development.Thanks to the internship opportunity offered in the final semester of the Economicsprogram, I realized my interest in pursuing a career in the e-commerce sector. Upongraduation, I began working in the E-Commerce Department at LC Waikiki, where I hadpreviously completed my internship. I currently hold the position of E-Commerce CategoryAssistant Specialist. In this role, I manage key processes such as product management,pricing, stock control, campaign planning, site layout, and enhancing customer experience tosupport the sales performance of the product categories under my responsibility.Through my education at Istinye University’s Economics Department, I strengthened myskills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, data interpretation, and market analysis.

The Department of Economics enabled me to look at life from different perspectives, whichhelped me gain more self-confidence and led me to a job that I truly enjoy. I am currentlyworking in the fund operations unit at Ata Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş. (Ata Portfolio ManagementInc.), one of Turkey’s well-established portfolio management companies. Being introducedto financial literacy during my economics studies allowed me to manage my life moreconsciously. In this field, I feel both strong and happy. My biggest advice to thoseconsidering this department is to see it not just as an academic program, but as anexperience that will shape your life.
